Arbit chakkar @ IISc

During my visit to IISc I interacted with people working on a upcoming Science and Cultural Festival,named Pravega, in IISc. I found the team very enthusiastic and energetically working for the fest which is scheduled sometime later, towards the end of the year.

My Stalker Robot "MEDUSA".

          As I said I m making a stalker ROBOT,it surely should have a name.IT was when i saw the above look of this circuit ,something was striking in my mind,that i have seen this before,and after a brief pause i looked at it and said "MEDUSA". Surprisingly all pieces began to fit together, and i decided that i'll name my Bot MEDUSA.
        And how the pieces fit together,you'll find out on your own. Firstly ,the mythology goes in a way stating that :Whoever tried to stare at Medusa in her eyes turned into stone( and I m also trying to make a Bot which will catch everyone's attention.).Medusa was known for stalking her preys from behind ,hiding and suddenly turn and appear in front of her prey's face.(So my Bot is a stalker and so Medusa suits it.)

      So its all i did today.Overall a very Busy day.And the wiring stuff is all done by me and my roomie.So the circuits are ready ,tommorow just the mounting part is left,and soon i'll add a video of my fully Autonomous BOT "MEDUSA".
           So that's all for this time.Gotta go to the class tommorow morning and in the evening the Spring Fest starts so maybe i want be able to post tommorow as i'll be very busy in my schedule.

First Outdoor Activity Undertaken(ROBOT Making).

           I thought i wont have any new thing to post today,but finally I disproved my own thought.
So now, we at IIT Kharagpur are having an annual Techno-Management fest int he last week of this month.The name of the fest is Kshitij (www.ktj.in).
Till now as usual i never participated in any of the events here,blame that to my shyness or laziness or whatever.
To make every other friend's notion false i decided to go against the current and make a ROBOT for myself and prove to myself that i can also do something which others don't expect from me.
           Well, my BOT is in its primary stage and still under-construction.
Basically what we are trying to make is a stalker(a pair of Bots),wherein 1 bot traces and follows the same path as the other one and the interesting part is that my Bot is a Autonomous BOT  .
            I am really enjoying the task as it pretty much involves the things which i have to do in my department(Electronics).The Soldering of circuit ,working with LEDs and the magical LDRs is all fun.
            I think that i'll finish my work on this Bot soon and will surely upload a Video and a pic on the upcoming posts.
           Till then I m waiting for  the most awaited festival (social and cultural) of IIT Kharagpur ,the Spring Fest(www.springfest.in),which will be from 20ht to 23rd of this month.
            Some students say, its the only time in IIT KGP that the sex ratio is highest in the whole academic year.So usually no one wants to miss it.
           Will let you all know about the fest in my upcoming posts.

MY first blog.

             I just had this idea in my mind from a long time,owning a blog for myself.Who knows someday i could be someone,who wants to be heard to and read.
           So to take the first step in preparing for that day,i started my own blog.Anyways there is not much to do in IIT when you are a lot confused about undertaking any activity, as there are many.
         Well i got just 1 month and 2 days before the earth revolves 18 times around the sun since i was born.And i wanted for myself some things that i can brag off when i m a little old.
        So that's all ,why i m writing this blog,this question is pretty much answered through this 1st post of mine.
And i'l keep you all informed about my social life and any special events in my coming life.
